Concepts
Over the last few years Red Door Events has specialised in devising and designing specific or bespoke activities for our clients.
Our concepts are first devised, then documented and put into a 2D visual and then 3D (if necessary). The concepts are derived from a mix of the clients requirements, the target audience, the budget and the desired outcome.
We have designed activities such as the ‘Impossible Putt’ for use at the HSBC Champions Pro-Am Party. We were given a brief by the client to create a striking centrepiece to the room, whilst at the same time making it challenging for VIP’s and guests alike.
We also designed the Yas Island Scalextric for Aldar to use at the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship in 2009. Having worked with Aldar on previous tournaments we wanted to design an activity that would enable them to showcase themselves. As Aldar are the main building contractor for the new Abu Dhabi Formula 1 circuit we proposed a Scalextric replica of the circuit that the visitors to the golf tournament could race on.
HSBC asked us to come up with two new activities for the HSBC Interactive Village at the HSBC Champions golf tournament in 2008. We had two separate briefs, firstly we had to create an activity that would be targeted at children to fit in with their grass roots policy, and secondly, to create an activity that had a great visual impact but also allowed the public to test their skills. We created both the Inflatable Kart Track with mini battery powered Golf Karts and also the HSBC Chipping Zone that enabled the public to test their chipping skills from both specially designed red bunkers and flat synthetic grass mats with professional coaches on hand to enhance their skills.
